  • Since we sprayed the product early Spring, I have found that it has worked very well. We see the quality of the grass has improved and the cattle graze it out to the ground, the cattle are all very happy on it, you can see them thriving away on it and I can see an uptake on grass growth.

Why choose Supersoil?

What advantages does Supersoil offer to farmers?

Supersoil presents numerous benefits to farmers, including enhanced soil structure, improved water retention, and increased nutrient availability. By using Supersoil, farmers can experience improved crop yields, reduced soil erosion, and decreased dependency on synthetic fertilisers. This leads to healthier plants, better soil health, and ultimately, higher profitability for farming operations.

Can you use Supersoil on Grazing ground?

For grazing, we strongly advocate for a lone application of Supersoil. You'll witness a remarkable transformation as the grass emerges greener and thicker. Notably, your animals will extend their grazing time in Supersoil-treated paddocks. The richness and nutritional density of the grass mean your animals consume less to achieve satiety.

For the likes of the more intensive greasers like Dairy herds given the substantial grass requirements of dairy cows, it is recommended to supplement with some chemical fertiliser to meet the high demand.

We propose a mindful adjustment to your current fertiliser application approach. Consider applying half of your usual chemical fertiliser rate across your pastures and silage fields when combined with your Supersoil application. For instance, if you previously applied 1 bag per acre on your pasture fields, you could reduce this to half a bag in conjunction with Supersoil.

If you are accustomed to incorporating organic matter such as slurry, farmyard manure, or digestate, we encourage you to maintain this practice. These organic materials act as nourishment for the microorganisms in your soil, facilitating the breakdown of nutrients and their direct transport to your plants.

Our primary goal is to enhance the overall health of your soil. By doing so, we aim to gradually decrease the reliance on harmful chemicals and work towards reversing the environmental impact they may have had on our soils.

I grow crops, when is the best time to spray it?

For optimal results when growing crops, it's recommended to spray Supersoil just after completing the ploughing process and before spreading the seeds. Applying Supersoil post-ploughing allows the microbes to establish essential networks and structures, facilitating efficient nutrient cycling in the soil. This approach safeguards the hard work of the microbes from being disrupted by subsequent ploughing. If ploughing needs to be done later in the season, it's less detrimental, as Supersoil would have already laid a foundation, ensuring its resilience to disturbances.

Can I use chemicals with Supersoil?

Absolutely, you can use chemicals alongside Supersoil. For farmers accustomed to using chemicals, we suggest starting with half of your usual application. This gradual approach supports a smooth transition from chemical-based practices to natural nutrient cycling, ensuring a positive impact on your yield without compromising results.

Can you use Supersoil on Silage ground?

When it comes to silage production, achieving a robust first cut is best accomplished by combining slurry with Supersoil. This powerful combination has yielded exceptional results, with reports from farmers attesting to increased bale yields per acre compared to prior outcomes with chemical fertilisers.

If you intend on transitioning from chemical fertilisers to a more natural approach on your silage ground, we would recommend a gradual shift. In such cases, it's advisable to use half the amount of chemical fertiliser along with Supersoil. This transitional approach can help ease the shift from chemical to natural fertilisers while maintaining productivity.

The integration of Supersoil and slurry creates an environment conducive to not only quantity but also quality, enhancing your silage production for a more prosperous agricultural venture. This holistic approach promotes soil health and sustainability, which are crucial factors for long-term success in farming.

How soon can I put the animals out on the field?

You can put your animals out on the field immediately after spraying Supersoil. It is entirely non-toxic to animals. Even if they ingest some of the microbes, the microbes will survive the digestive tract and pass through back onto the soil.

Can Supersoil help reduce farming input costs?

Yes, Supersoil can help lower farming input costs in several ways. Its comprehensive nutrient profile reduces the need for excessive synthetic fertilisers, saving on fertiliser expenses. Additionally, the enhanced water retention properties of Supersoil reduce irrigation requirements, leading to savings in water costs. With improved crop yields and reduced reliance on external inputs, farmers can achieve cost-effective and economically viable farming operations while maintaining soil and environmental health.
